Obituary of Lyman Archer Warren
Sadly we inform you that Lyman Archer Warren passed away on March 4, 2019 in Digby General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Digby he was the only son of William “Bill” and Jane (Woof) Warren. Lyman spent his early years growing up in Digby, graduating from Digby Regional High School. He worked for Department of Energy Mines and Resources in Ottawa for 42 years as a map compiler and draftsman. Lyman served 20 years in the 30th Field Artillery Military Regiment and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer and was a Royal Canadian Legion member in Hampton NB and Digby NS. In his younger years he enjoyed to hunt, fish and play golf. He Married Christine Jordan in 1950 and they had 2 children. After retirement they moved back to Digby and after the loss of his wife he was lucky to meet and spend the last 15 years with the love of his life, Meredith Denton. Lyman and Meredith enjoyed travelling, spending time with family and enjoying each others company. Lyman will be missed greatly by his spouse, Meredith Denton; his sons, Randy (Donna), Scott (Ginelle); grandchildren, Jodi, Jason, Colton and Sean. Lyman is also survived by Meredith’s children, Roger (Carolyn) Roxie (Paul), Linden (Ron) step grandchildren, Craig, Leonard, Michelle, Nathaniel, Tamara, Joel and great-grandchildren who Lyman loved dearly, Jared, Brett, Hailey, Emma, Leia, Kaleigh, Ella, Josephine, Elijah, Sienna and Amia. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Christine; sisters, Joyce Hanson, Doreen Rice and Linda Journeay. Donations in memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
