Mabel Marshall

Mabel Ruth Marion Marshall passed away peacefully in the Digby General Hospital on March 28 at the age of 93. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Martin) Ellis and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mabel worked for several years in the cleaning services at the former CFB Cornwallis until her retirement in 1988. She loved the outdoors, especially walks in the woods and along the beach with her dogs. She enjoyed music, doing puzzle books and watching hockey, especially her favorite team the Montreal Canadiens. She is survived by her daughter Ann (Paul) Brown, grandchildren Jennifer, Michelle, Matthew, Amanda, Laura, Suzanne, Richard and Sherry-Lynn; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Mabel was predeceased by her husband Rustin (Bus); sons Richard, David, and Peter also an infant son at birth; brothers Richard, Ancil, Wally, William, Leander, Harry and sister Madeline. In keeping with Mabel's wishes cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne's Funeral Home, Digby. Special thank you to the Doctors and staff at Digby General Hospital for their continuing care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
