Arthur Frederick Adams CD EM, Honorary Colonel, retired, of 436 Burma Squadron, in his 95th year at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas, Sunday April 1, 2018.
Surrounded by his loving wife Sonja, family and friends.Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Cory, Tammy and Charlene Pantophlet, brother Stan and family, sister-in-law Rose Boyd and family, and step-children Jeanette, Valerie, Murray and Carolyn. Beloved by many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Dorothy and daughter Barbara. Special thanks to dear friends Dave and Genia Robertson, Kevin and Barb MacLeod and Faye and Michael Ng for their lifelong love and support.
Affectionately known as “The Brick Bomber”, serving his country was one of Art’s proudest accomplishments, and during his distinguished military career he was honoured to receive many medals and decorations. Art was an energetic and accomplished businessman founding numerous businesses and continued to serve as President and CEO of the Credit Bureau of Southern Ontario, ClearNeed Information Systems and Software Authors into his nineties. A life member of Dufferin Lodge #291, past DDGM of Hamilton District “C” 2000-2001, a founding member of the Business Executive Organization in Hamilton, and member of Christ Church, Flamborough.
We invite Art and Sonja’s friends to join us in celebrating this wonderful man’s life at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, 9280 Airport Road, Mount Hope, ON, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May the 5th. Art will be laid to rest at a graveside service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May the 12th at Maple Grove Cemetery, 9498 County Road 30, Havelock, ON. Reception to follow at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 103, 34 Bridge Street West, Campbellford, ON. All are welcome.
