Gayla Keen

Gayla Gray Keen, age 61, of Erwin passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her home She was born September 24, 1957 in Granite City, Illinois the daughter of the late Raymond and Goldia Gray. She is also preceded in death by her brother, David Gray. Gayla deeply enjoyed planting flowers in her garden and spending time with her husband and family. On Saturday mornings she could be found at yard sales and she loved to collect porcelain dolls. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 11 years, Jeffrey Keen of the home; sons, Michael Schmidt and wife Holly and Arrik Schmidt; step daughters, Jessica Marroquin and husband Carlos and Carrie Galarza and husband Carmelo; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Russell Gray, Keith Gray and Curtis Gray; two canine companions, Abbie and Amy; and numerous other loving family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home, 401 W. Cumberland Street, Dunn, NC with Reverend Randy Beasley officiating.
