March 2, 1945 – March 7, 2019
IN THE CARE OF
Wood Funeral Home
Armand Robert Gould of Margate Fla., a former longtime resident of East Aurora, died peacefully on Thursday, March 7 after a long battle with cancer. He was 74.
Mr. Gould born March 2,1945 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of the late Laurie and Odila Gould.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Jeannine; children Glenn (Amy) Gould of East Aurora and Marsha (Michael) Reda of Williamsville; grandchildren, who called him “Papa,” Christopher (Rozycki) Gould, Sophie Gould, Michael Reda, Lydia Gould and Ellie Gould; sister Shirley; many close cousins who reside in Canada; and many friends.
A big man, living life to the fullest, Mr. Gould enjoyed the freedom of piloting small airplanes, riding his touring motorcycle and driving with the top down in his convertible. After 30 years in the insurance industry and living in East Aurora, he retired to Margate with his wife and mother in 2000, providing the rest of his growing family with the ultimate holiday destination.
Over the nineteen years in Margate, he enjoyed perfecting his organ playing skills, working on his tan at the beach, antiquing and going to auctions. He was always on the hunt for that hidden gem and selling it on eBay.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the Vitas staff for their loving care and support of Mr. Gould in his final days
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday October 12th at 10:00 am at the WOOD FUNERAL HOME 784 Main Street, East Aurora, NY. Interment will follow at Annunciation Church, Elma. Online condolences may be shared at www.woodfh.com.
