John Kenneth Lewis Ross

Ken Ross passed away at Edmonton, Alberta on May 8, 2019. Ken was born on January 27, 1928 at Elgin, Manitoba where he received his education. He married Christine Thomas of Hartney, Manitoba on July 1,1958. They farmed the family farm at Elgin until 1963 at which time they moved to the Hartney area where Ken operated an insurance business until 1982. He was diagnosed with cancer and was not able to work again. In 1997, they retired to Edmonton to be near their family. Ken leaves to mourn his loving wife Christine and 7 children: Evalynn of Camrose, AB; Christopher (Rita)of Mission, BC; Marlene (Leo) of St. Paul, AB; John of Millet, AB; Helen of Edmonton, AB; Beverly (Steven) of Richmond, BC; and Curt (Terry) of Douglas, MB. Also 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Ken was predeceased by his parents William and Zella, his 3 brothers, Cecil (Mary), Oscar and Lloyd (Edna) and his daughter, Freda. Funeral service will be held at Hainstock's Funeral Home - 9810 34 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta on May 13, 2019 at 2:00. Ken made his choice to serve Jesus in May 1993. This choice was a source of comfort and encouragement for the rest of his life. The family expresses their appreciation for your comfort and support.
