Mong Khiong Chin

Mong Khiong passed away peacefully on June 3, 2019, at the age of 63, surrounded by family. He will be lovingly remembered by his mom Keng Hee Chee, wife Soo Chin Siaw, sons Jonathan and Stephen, brothers Mong Ching (Bee Lian) and Mong Fui (Pat), niece Carmen, brother-in-law Vinh Luong Phung, and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his dad Then Fook and sister Hue Ping. Mong Khiong was born in Brunei, and came to Edmonton in 1980, where he met and later married his wife. He was a devoted husband and loving father, always quiet, gentle and a deep thinker. The family would like to thank the following for their kindness and compassionate care: his family doctor, Dr. Yong and his staff; Dr. Chu, RN Paulino and the staff at CCI; Dr. Amigo and the amazing staff in Unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 10:30 am at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810-34th Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
