Mary Opal Basehore, 98, of Dade City, Florida, Formerly of St. Petersburg Fl. and Bradenton Fl. passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2019. She was born in Hemp field, Westmoreland, Pa. on May 25, 1921 to Delphia Josephine Downs Jamison and Walter Kay Jamison. She was a former restaurant owner in St. Petersburg and loved gardening and all flowers. She is survived by 4 children, Mary (Bill) Hepler of Dade City, Florida, Robert (Linda) of Danielson, Ct, Rodney (Marilyn), of St. Petersburg, FL. and Dee Ray of Dade City, FL., 8 grandchildren and 15 great grand children. She was preceded in death by Husband Robert Eugene Basehore married 70 years, Brothers Harry Jamison and Walter Kay Jamison, sisters Ruth Abbott Helsel, Grace Whidden and Virginia Abel. There will be a family gathering to celebrate her life on Monday July 8, from 2 -3 pm at Groover Funeral Home
