Dorothy J. Mangold

Dorothy J. Mangold, 86, of Evansville, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019. She was born January 18, 1933 in Evansville to the late Alva and Patricia Pierce. She was a member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and worked at Wesselman’s for many years, retiring in 1992. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Mangold, and siblings, Martin Pierce, Mary Anne Scott, Herbie Pierce, Pat Snodgrass, Margaret Voliva and Bernie Pierce. She is survived by daughter, Joan Schneider, grandchildren, Kaitlin Schneider and Matthew Schneider (Sarah); great-grandchild, Eleanor, and sisters, Mildred Osborne and Sharon Shadrick Stroud. A Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Pastor Chad Eckels, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Linda E. White Hospice House.
