Steven T. Sampson

Steven T. Sampson, 95, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was born September 28, 1923 in Evansville to the late Roy and Evaline (Tomlin) Sampson. He served with the US Navy during WWII and had worked as a pharmaceutical representative. Steven loved to fish and play basketball, playing in his 80’s on a senior traveling team. He enjoyed visiting and joking with the nurses at Cypress Grove and took pride in his appearance throughout his life. Steven was preceded in death by brother, Richard Sampson, and wife, Ida Faye Simpson. He is survived by daughter, Nancy Miller of Battle Ground, IN; son, Steven Sampson II of California; grandchildren, Suzanne McClure, Steven Sampson III, Holly Knollenberg, Heather Miller, Vanessa Barry and Shawn Miller, and great-grandchildren, Chelsey Knollenberg, Kylee Knollenberg, Lexi Barry, Lily Barry and Zoe Miller.
