Danny "Whitey" Lee Ellison

Danny Lee Ellison, 63, of Scarbro, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley. Born on December 24, 1955 at Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late Floyd Edward and Gilda Estelle Cashion Ellison. Mr. Ellison was a disabled taxi driver. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the river. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Kenneth Eugene Ellison and Roger Dean Ellison; sister: Flora Gayle Guthrie; half-sister: Kaye Suttle; and half-brother: Larry Dilley. Survivors include his brother: John Ellison and wife, Starlet; sister: Sharon Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6 – 7:30 pm on Friday, August 9, 2019, with a memorial service to follow at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, WV.
