Gordon Robert Cameron

Gordon Robert Cameron, 63, of Fort Frances, ON passed away suddenly on Friday, May 24, 2019 in Fort Frances, ON. He was born on August 16, 1955 to William and Minnie Cameron. He grew up in Fort Frances and then ventured out into the world looking for adventure. He worked all over the world before returning to his roots to be closer to his family. During his time in Fort Frances he worked at the local paper mill and then with Green Furniture. Even after retiring he remained in close contact with the staff. He was a kind man with a good heart and amazing sense of humour. People described him as “fun to be around” and always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed quick trips to Fortune Bay with family and friends and especially enjoyed his “ski-ball” games with his grandson, Avery. He loved spending time with his friends and took many fishing and hunting trips enjoying the time outdoors.. Gordon leaves behind his daughter Kathy Foy and grandchild, Avery; daughter Tara; siblings Lorraine (Max) Shapiro, Malcom Cameron (Marta), Donald Cameron, and cousin Ray (Sue) Cameron as well as several nieces, nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Minnie. Honourary Pallbearers are Jake Tucker, Pat Basaraba, Owen Woods, Craig Kearney, Mickey Kearney, and Lawrence Simmons A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, ON.
