Anna was born in Germantown, MD, to parents Edgar A. Vinson and Leona C. Burdette Vinson. After graduating from high school, she went to work for the Federal Government as a Budget Analyst.
Anna and Clarke Windsor were married on May 17, 1947. In 1970, because of a reduction in work force, she was able to take an early retirement at age 44. She and husband Clarke then moved to Fort Lauderdale.
Anna joined the Second Presbyterian Church (The Sanctuary Church) on November 3. 1988, where she served as an elder, deacon, usher, receptionist, and wherever needed, and was very active in Presbyterian Women.
She was a volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital from 1973 to 2015 serving over 45,000 hours and also served as Chairperson for TLC (Tender Loving Care) welcoming and training new volunteers.
Anna has one surviving sister, Mabel Dean and many nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her husband Clarke in 1981, and by sisters Mary Atwell, Ethel McGaha and Nellie Phoebus, and brother Douglas Vinson.
Anna enjoyed traveling, watching baseball and helping out in any way she could. Her kind manner and caring ways made her a valuable and treasured member of the community.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 2-3 pm at Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33308. (954) 565-5591 followed by a Service at the funeral Home at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockville, MD.
