Obituary of Bonnie Jean Schluter
FORT WORTH – Bonnie Jean Schluter, 77, a retired adjunct instructor with Tarrant County College, died Friday, July 5, 2019. Funeral: Services: Friday 12-Jul-2019 at 9:00AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 210 W Park Row Dr. Arlington, Texas Visitation will be on Thursday 11-Jul-2019 from 6 – 9:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home, 7301 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth 76112. Burial: Monday 15-Jul-2019 10:00 AM in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211 . Survivors: Husband, Duane Schluter, daughter, Erin Brown, son-in-law, Raymond Brown, Jasper Missouri, daughter, Diane K Mancino, son-in-law Matthew Mancino Houston, Texas, three grand children, Alex Stewart and Ashley Stewart, Lamar Missouri, and Destiny Stewart, Jasper, Missouri. Six great grandchildren: Brody, Jasper, Aubreigh, Brentley, Brexton, and Amarah. Bonnie Jean Hare Schluter was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin Sep-28-1941 and was the only child of Earl and Gladys Hare. Bonnie and Duane first met at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse and were wed in 1962. She was a medical technologist for several years and completed her BS from the University of Mississippi and received her MS from the University of Tennessee in 1970 She worked at the University of Tennessee and University of Kentucky Medical Centers in Knoxville and Lexington until Duane finished his graduate degrees, They moved to Fort Worth, Texas in September 1975. Bonnie was a stay at home mom with her daughters until they were in school and then worked as an adjunct instructor at Tarrant County College from 1985 to 2018 when she retired for health reasons. Bonnie’s interests were growing African violets, crocheting, classical music, viewing old movies, reading, listening to popular music from the fifties, and traveling. She and Duane went on several cruises when TCC was not in session. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a contribution be offered the Lutheran Braille Services
