Yvonne Roberts

Yvonne was born 11/15/1938 in Hardburly, KY to Samuel and Elizabeth Tipton. She was the 9th of 10 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Fred, Raymond, George, Clarence and Jim, and her sisters, Eunice Adams, Juanita Watson, Eldena Fugate and Flo Williams. She is survived by her husband, Arthur (Windy) Roberts, 4 children, Lesa Stewart, David (Barbara) Roberts, Steve (Sherrie) Roberts and Gina (Jamie) Davidson. 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Chris, Brian, Joanna, Jake, Ben and Olivia, and 12 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Yvonne had a very kind, caring and giving heart. She selflessly gave of her time and talents to her family, friends, and community. She was an active member of the PTA while her children were in school. She chaired the Dream Factory organization (which granted wishes for ill children) for many years. She also volunteered at her church-Breiel Blvd Church of God (formerly Crawford St. Church of God). She spent countless hours helping her children and grandchildren with projects. She was a very talented singer and along with her sister, Eldena, and sister-in-law, Leola, was a member of The Tipton Sisters Trio. They were regionally successful and sought after to sing in many churches. They recorded 2 albums.Their acapella sound was beautiful and from the heart. Her greatest love was her family and she will be forever missed by all of them.
