Jacquelyn Elois Archer-Hesse, age 71, of Coldwater, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility, Coldwater, Michigan. Jackie was born on August 2, 1947 in Garrett, Indiana to Harry and Janette (Gottschalk) Sherburne. She married Thomas Rex Archer on September 21, 1966, he preceded her in death in 1997. Jackie later married Eugene G. Hesse in Coldwater, Michigan on March 22, 2003, and he survives. She worked for Clay’s Country Cottage Restaurant, and owned and operated Archer’s Adult Foster Care, and retired from Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in 2007. Jackie’s hobbies included, fishing, camping, sewing, gardening, reading, knitting, and traveling. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking goodies to share with her family and friends, going to the Branch County Fair, watching the grandchildren and other children while they showed their projects, rather it be animals or in the show barn. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Hesse of Coldwater, Michigan, a son, Dean (Judy) Archer , and a daughter, Theresa (Jeff) Van Dyke, both of Quincy, Michigan, step-son, Richard (Randhi) Hesse of Roswell, New Mexico, a step-daughter, Saundra (Vic) Hainline of Charlotte, South Carolina, a step-daughter-in-law, Megan (Darren) Hesse, grandchildren, Tim Draper, Kyle Archer, Linsey (Derek) Pawloski, and Megan Van Dyke, step-grandchildren, Ryan (Ranota) Van Dyke, Taylor Kendall, Jeffery Morse, Emily Morse, great-grandchildren, Lillian Draper, and Paul Draper, step-great-grandson, Mathew Rutheford, three step great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Judy Custer of Coldwater, Michigan. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Derek Archer, and a step-son, Darren Hesse. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Pastor Mark Case officiating. There will be calling hours prior to the memorial service from 1 pm until 3 pm at the funeral home on Sunday. Memorial donations in her memory may be directed to Make A Wish Foundation, Coldwater American Legion Auxilary Post # 52, or to the Branch County Fair-4H.
