Obituary of Carlene Mary Campo
Carlene was born March 24, 1994, in Ontario, Oregon and was a lifelong Fruitland, Idaho resident. She served as a manager for Campo Oil Company while working toward completing her bachelor's degree from Oregon State University where she achieved a 4.0 last semester. She was dedicated to her family and the family business. She had begun taking on many responsibilities in preparation to become a third-generation entrepreneur with Campo Oil. Carlene dedicated seven years of her life to her passion for cheerleading. In high school, she was selected to represent the United States at a volleyball competition in the Netherlands. She loved the outdoors, recreational softball, and baking and tinkering in the kitchen. She was an active Crossfit enthusiast and looked forward to running her second Ragnar race later this year. She enjoyed volunteering at various events with Corpus Christi Catholic Church as well as at the animal shelter in Corvallis, Oregon. Carlene recently became a first-time homeowner and was thrilled to be building a life in her Fruitland community. She loved spending time camping, fishing, and skiing with her boyfriend and their beloved fur baby, Molly. Carlene also loved spending time with her dad in the winter plowing snow and being with her mom on the beach. Carlene is survived by her mother and father, Carla and Dennis Campo; her sister and brother-in-law, Carly and Kyle Fleege; her boyfriend Matthew Erskine; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Arthur and Agnes Campo; her grandmother Darlene Caphina; her grandparents Collette and Carl Alder; her aunt Anita Halverson; and her uncle Stan Shupe.
