Blue Ray Green, 78, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday morning, June 29, 2019, surrounded by his family while at Mt. Vernon Place Care Center, In Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Blue was born on January 4, 1941 in Mexico, MO, son of the late Cecil and Florence Alberta (Wheat) Green. Blue was an entrepreneur with many talents. He also was a rancher, enjoying spending time on the farm taking care of his livestock. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and teaching them good values.
Blue married Donna Marie Hammock and she preceded him in death December 13, 1984.
Blue is survived by his four sons; Jim Green and wife Kelly, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Billy Green and wife Amber, of Willard, Missouri, Todd Green and wife Jamie, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Shane Green and wife Shelby, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; six daughters, Tina Hume, of Washington, Sandra Diderrick, of Arizona, Theresa Green, of Arizona, Stormy Green, of Arizona, Amanda Green, of Washington and Marla Green, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; thirty grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Oleson and Pam Webb, both of Alton, Illinois.
Blue was preceded in death by his parents; and two brother, James Green of Arizona and William Tucker of North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Green will be held at 9:00am Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in Glendale, Arizona. Interment will be in the Glendale Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends from 8-9 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
