Mohabir "Rai" Singh

“A Selfless, Caring, and Industrious husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.” Mr. Mohabir Rai Singh, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care in Orlando, Florida. He was the son of the late Latchmin and Magwattie Singh, was born on Friday, June 7, 1940 in Georgetown, Guyana. He was the beloved husband of Lakrajie “Seeta” Singh (Ramroop) of Leguan, Guyana, since August 2, 1959; over 60 years. He was a talented and hard working carpenter while placing his hands and efforts in constructing and remodeling homes, buildings, and structures. His efforts were enough to build homes for families to grow, to house those in need, and enough to sustain his own home. He also worked side by side with his wife in maintaining and managing realty assets they owned together. He enjoyed helping others; either through his craft and capabilities or through his sound advice, and loved spending quality time with his family. He was the anchor and leader of his home which transcended through his children and to their own. Each holds a specific quality or characteristic that is easily identifiable and that can be traced back to him. Besides his wife, he leaves the legacy of his life to his 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren of his very own. Left to honor his life is his daughters: Bina Singh-Ardjoensing and husband, the late Ronald Harrisingh Ardjoensing, Geeta Drowpattie Birbal and husband Prem Persaud Birbal, the late Kamla Babita Singh, Natasha Jenny Singh-Nanku and husband Rajin Surish Nanku, and Roshni Janki Latchmi Davi Singh and son: Soney Doodnarine Singh; grandchildren: Rajin Rai Nanku, Sushma Kiran Ardjoensing, Alana Guytri Singh, Ryan Davydeall Singh, Natisha Latchmi Bossie (Nanku), Alan Ravindra Birbal, Raveena Karishma Ardjoensing, Arron Rajendra Birbal, Adrien Rabindra Birbal, Ethan Suraj Nanku, Ashton Ritish Ramindra Birbal, and Shivani Raya Singh; and great-grandchildren: Isabella Mylani Hernandez, Naliya Latchmi Bossie, Ariyanna Annabelle Hernandez, Daniel Persaud Bossie, and Elianna Riya Hernandez. He also leaves behind many fond memories and timeless bonds, from many places, between his extended and close family members and friends.
