Kenneth Arlen Batey

Kenneth Arlen Batey, Grand Junction, CO was received by our Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Grand Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center, he was 66. Kenny was born on December 10, 1952 in Farmington, New Mexico from the union of Delmar and Josephine Batey. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam era and later had a career as a Directional Driller for the Oil industry. Kenny was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Later-day Saints and the Black Powder Mussel Loaders. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Kenny leaves behind his wife Gloria Quintana, his mother; Josephine Batey, four brothers; George, Jim, Charlie and William Batey and eight sisters; Barbara "Bobbie Doe" Batey, Beverly Batey, Juanita Chapman, Avis Batey, Patricia Keal, Mary Cornelius, Laura Batey and Iva Batey. He was preceded in death by his father. A committal service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM, May 21, 2019 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
