Obituary of Annabelle Bean Hancock
Annabelle Wilkes (Bean) Hancock, 96, passed away January 5, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on July 23, 1922 in Mesquite, TX to William and Myrtle Bean. Annabelle met Edward Hancock on a dude ranch. They fell in love and married on January 9, 1947. She was a member of the women’s auxiliary at the Garland Memorial Hospital. A longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Garland. She worked for Neiman’s and Frost Brothers before dedicating to herself to being a loving wife and mother. She loved the Lord and it showed in every aspect of her life. Mother, grandmother, caregiver, taking care of everyone was her calling and she did with a giving heart. He was loving and generous to a fault. She possessed unconditional love and made everyone feel special. There was not a person in need; she did not try to help. She is preceded in death by husband Edward Penick Hancock; brothers: William Bean, Bruce Bean; sisters: Kathleen Moore, Violet Anne Bean; grandson Albert Varela, nieces: Carol Watters and Keirsten Head. Survived by daughter Kathy Pinckert and her husband, Chuck, son Bill Hancock and his wife, Donna, sister Mozelle Mills and her husband, George, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and special friend, Chappell Sides.
