Obituary of Ann Marie Gray

Passed away peacefully in Halifax on December 1, 2018. Ann Marie (Odell) Gray was born in July, 1941 in Halifax. She is predeceased by her parents, Eva (Kline) Odell and Stanley Odell; her brother, John Odell; and Gordon Gray. Ann is survived by her daughter, Alison Gray (Chris Giacomelli), granddaughters, Ella and Madeline Giacomelli, Toronto; and son, Bruce Gray (Effrosini Manziaris), grandsons, Peter and John Gray, Toronto; brother, Tom (Susan) Odell, Halifax; sister, Margaret Odell, Halifax; sister-in-law Fiona (Udo) Fieback, Ontario; and nieces, nephews and many dear cousins and friends. Ann lived in England, Singapore, Dartmouth, Portage la Prairie, Toronto, Ottawa, Mississauga and Halifax. She was employed as a secretary with N.S. Dept. of Public Health from 1960-64; in Ottawa in secretarial positions for Bell Canada and DND; at Searle Pharmaceuticals in Oakville; and at Sheridan Research Park, Mississauga before retiring in Halifax in 1998. Ann enjoyed family times, playing bridge, lawn bowling, exercise classes and bowling with friends. Donations in Ann’s memory can be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering from 10am-12pm, Saturday December 8 at J. A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
