Annabelle M. Nocon, age 62, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2019, at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home. Born in Makati, Philippines, she was the daughter of Carlos and Remedios Miranda. History: Graduated high school from Feati University; Graduated with a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Adamson University; Graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from Adamson University. She was a university professor at Adamson University for over 25 years, teaching mathematics. She was known to be a strict professor, an amazing cook and a charitable woman. She has helped countless people and communities through her philanthropic work. Together with Bong, her husband, they have helped numerous students have access to better education. She is a selfless woman who gives back to her community as much as she can. She is everyone’s second mother, from nephews and nieces to random people she has met and made acquaintances with. She has a big heart and would be greatly missed. Survived by her husband, Jose Rizalino C. Nocon (Bong) for almost 38 years; daughter, Czerianne Christine M. Nocon (Czeri); sons, Brian Christopher M. Nocon and Adrian Joseph M. Nocon; sisters: Teresita Patdu, Virginia Granfors, Yolanda Valdez and Elizabeth Miranda; brothers: Albert Miranda and Antonio Miranda; grandchildren, Theodore Aldrich L. Nocon and Eloise Margaux L. Nocon and TONS of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Carlos and Remedios Miranda, elder brothers, Remy and Willie Miranda and younger brother, Carlos Miranda Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 11-12, 2019, from 1-4 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. A Catholic memorial service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 6-7 pm at J. A. Snow Funeral Home. Deacon Tom Smith officiating. Cremation to follow in Harbourside Crematorium on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. A Celebration of her Life will be on May 16, 2019 at 5 pm at our Halifax home. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to family and friends who have helped and supported them through this difficult time.
