Bertha Gertrude Allison

Bertha Gertrude (Ackerson) Allison Bertha passed away peacefully and comfortably on March 4, 2019 at Arbourstone Nursing Home, Halifax at the age of 87, one month before her 88th birthday. She is survived by her sons Timothy Albert Allison and Rodney Clinton Allison, both of Halifax; also daughters, Jo Ann Louise Sabean (Allison) and Patricia Deborah Allison of Dartmouth, grandchildren Rodney C Fraser, Melissa Fraser, Albert James Allison, Timothy Allison, Allayah Joshua (Allison) Curtis and Cindy as well as great-grandchildren Brandon, Alexis, MacKenzie, Nolle, Ashten and others. She is also survived by her special son and daughter Jack and Desiree whom she thought of as her own, and loved just as much. Bertha was a single mother who raised four children during a very difficult and stressful time and loved them all as much as she could, and gave them as much of herself as she had to give! We love and miss her greatly; her smile and laughter was what dreams are made of! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cure for Dementia. Visitation will be held at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax on Saturday, March 9 from 12-2 PM with Celebration of Life service following at 2pm. A reception will follow the service. No one should leave this world not knowing what they have accomplished!
