Obituary of David Keith Low

IN THE CARE OF

JA Snow Funeral Home

It is with exceptionally broken hearts that we announce the death of David (Dave) Low, 70, of Lower Sackville, NS. David passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11th, 2019, surrounded by his family after a short but courageous battle with Brain Cancer. Born and raised in Halifax, David was the son of the late William and Margaret Low. David is survived by the love of his life, Marjorie (Bower), his wife of 50 years; his children, son Tyson (Tracy) and daughter Chrissy (Mike Thorne) and his beloved grandchildren; Emersyn and Isla, Jaxson and Tim. In addition, he is survived by Aunt Doris (Toronto); brother John (Bev); several brothers-in law; sisters in-law; nieces and nephews. David's greatest joy was his family. He absolutely adored his grandchildren, lighting up whenever they were close. He spent many weekends at his cottage on Molega Lake, where his many lake neighbours became close friends. It was here that he was happy to be out on the water and to end the day watching the sun set with the love of his life 'Red'. David lived his life making sure to look after his family first and his kind and generous spirit was felt by all who met and knew him. David started in the Autobody Industry 55 years ago as an apprentice at the age of 16, and for the last 8 years was the proud owner and operator of Wolf Collision in Halifax. He always spoke highly of all his past and present employees at Wolf and he wanted them all to know how much he appreciated their support. David's career was also his hobby as his love of cars was a passion for him. The family would like to express a sincere appreciation to those who helped to care for David through his illness. We cannot thank you enough for the care and respect you provided to him. According to David's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of David's life will take place on Sunday, March 24th, 2019, at 2 pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr., Hfx). Rev Mark Kingsbury officiating. A reception will directly follow. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations to honour David can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada (braintumour.ca) or a charity of choice.
