Doreen Martha Beazley

Doreen Martha Beazley Age 67 of Halifax passed peacefully away on Wednesday, March 7, 2019 at her home. Doreen spent her time working for the Federal Government at Public Works and Government Services until her retirement. Since her retirement Doreen loved spending her time with her loving husband, son and her dog, Casey. In her spare time she would knit for the IWK, Wednesday night BINGO with friends and loved watching figure skating on TV or travelling with her sisters to watch competitions. Doreen passed peacefully in her sleep from a short battle with cancer. Doreen is survived by her husband of 44 years, Barry Beazley; her son, John; her beloved dog, Casey; sisters, Roz Cholock (Chick), Gina Holloway (Gerry); brother, Wilf (Gail) Holloway; sisters-in-law, Joan MacLeod and Peg Holloway and brother-in-law, Greg (Ella) Beazley. Doreen was loved by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Bryce and Clarice Holloway; brother, Reg Holloway; mother-in-law, Marjorie Beazley and brothers-in-law, Brian and Richard. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11 from 2-4pm at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax where funeral service will also take place on Tuesday, March 12 at 2pm. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the IWK Foundation.
