Eileen Brightman

Eileen Marion Brightman passed in peace on September, 25th, 2019 at the age of 77. Eileen was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 1st, 1942 to the late Arthur and Ethel Marie Bowser. She spent many years working in the service industry but enjoyed spending time with her family and friends more than anything. She also had a passion for solving puzzles, playing bingo, and helping others whenever she could. Eileen was a bright and energetic person who liked to show off her quirky personality by collecting singing stuffed animals. Above all, she was a very religious and caring individual who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Eileen is survived by her Daughter Valerie Brightman; Granddaughters Courtney Brightman and Brooklynn Paul; Great-granddaughter Zoey Leonard; Sisters Francis Hill and Barb McCully (Peter); her good friend Jean Cole; and several nieces and nephews. Eileen is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Marie (Nee Laundry) Bowser; Her father Arthur Bowser; Husband Harry Brightman; Sister Kay Bowser; Brothers Arthur and Patrick Bowser. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation any time between 1-3pm on Wednesday October 9th, 2019 at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St in Halifax, NS, to be followed by the funeral service from 4-5pm. The committal will be held at Fairview Lawn Cemetery on Friday October 11th, 2019 at 2pm.
