Robert Irving Higgins

Robert “Higgy” Irving HIGGINS ~ November 28, 1936-November 12, 2018 Robert Higgins, age 81 of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Monday November 12, 2018 at home. Son of the late Nathaniel and Florence Higgins, he was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Robena (2017)and loving father to John and Jason (Elsie) Higgins as well as grandfather to Kristina (Taylor), Megan, Joseph, Sara, Lucas and Jacob. He is also survived by and very grateful for the love and support from Ronald Slaunwhite, Arnold Boutilier, Bob and Janet Slaunwhite and Delores and Merle Harrie. In addition, he is survived by siblings Janice (Richard) Studley, Barbara, Noreen (James) Howard, Bernie (Aggie) Higgins and Walter (Dorothy) Higgins. He was predeceased by siblings Eudavilla, Frances, Marion, Jeanette, George and Nathan. Visitation will be held at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St, Halifax, on Sunday November 18 from 2pm until 4pm. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He is now with his sweetheart; may he rest in peace.
