Rona Ann Cathcart

Cathcart, Rona Ann, 77, passed away peacefully on September 28th 2019 at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home. Rona was born March 1st 1942. She married John Cathcart while he was stationed at RCAF Station Holberg, B.C. They adopted their son, Donald, in March 1968. Rona dedicated her life in the pursuit of caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was an exemplary nurse, always ensuring that her patients received the highest standard of care. She worked as an LPN until she suffered and untimely stroke in December 2003. Even with the effects of the stroke, Rona continued to be strong willed and determined to life her life to the fullest. She will be missed by her son Donald and his wife Rhonda, grandchildren Rowan, Spence, Cameron and David; her many friends and co-workers. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to send a very heartfelt thanks to all the nursing staff on the 6th floor of St Vincent’s who cared for Rona all these years as if she were a member of their own family.
