Shirley Joan Porter
August 28, 1934 – May 29, 2019

Shirley Joan Porter (Crozsman) age 84
Passed away on Wednesday May 29 at The QE11 Health Center in Halifax NS. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Halifax and was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Crozsman. She was predeceased by her first husband and the love of her life Finlay J Porter. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Veronica, Margaret, Emily, Vic (Winnifred), Dorothy, Laura, Frank and Cliff.
Shirley was an avid shopper and loved nothing more than a great bargain. So needless to say she loved her job at Robert Simpson's Eastern Ltd. Which over time became The Hudson Bay Company. She loved to dance and play darts and she really loved a good party. Mom loved even more, the opportunity to spoil her Babies. Her children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were everything to her as she was to them.
Shirley was survived by her daughter Darlene; granddaughters Renee (Bruce), and Kirsten (Chris); great-grandchildren, Joshua, Abigail, Madeleine and many nieces and nephews. Shirley is also survived by her partner of many years Ralph W Verge. Ralph's sons and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday June 5, 7:00- 9:00 pm at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax where memorial service will also be held on Thursday June 6, 11:00 with a reception to follow. Burial will take place following the reception at Gate of Heaven's Cemetery in lower Sackville.
