Dragica Maric

After bearing her cross many years, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Dragica Maric, at Ridgeview Long Term Care Centre on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the age of 74. She joins her predeceased loving husband, Ivan Maric, in heaven. Dear mother of Ivanka Maric and Rosemary (Jeff) Cabral; cherished Baba of Gabriel and Antony Marijanovic, and Noah and Madison Cabral. Further survived by her sister, Ana Nikl and family (Croatia) and by other relatives and friends in Canada and abroad. A heartfelt thank you to the family at Ridgeview Long Term Care Centre for their care and support over the last 4 years. Our sincerest gratitude to Dragica’s Angels, Ana Juraj and Ruzica Kupina. Their friendship, compassion and commitment to Dragica will be remembered and treasured forever. “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.” “Love the people God gave you because one day He will want them back” Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm with Vigil Prayers at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton at Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 9:30 am. Interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, Stoney Creek.
