George (Juraj) Kolic

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Arbour Creek Care Centre at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 50 years to Katarina. Loving brother to Franjo (Andjelka), sister Marica Lukezic, sister Nada (Franjo) Stepic, sister Anka (Petar) Tonkovic. Also leaves behind brother-in-law Ivan (Branka) Resovac and sister-in-law Stefica (Steve) Stakorac. Cherished uncle to Mirjana (John) Kolibash, John (Manon) Kolic, Christina (Goran) Knezovic, Robert (Josipa) Lukezic, George Tonkovic, Oliver (Victoria) Resovac, Nancy (Joe) Parilac, Suzan Oliveira and Nick Resovac. Special godfather to Brian Brinjak. Will be greatly missed by friends and family in Canada and Croatia. Special thank you to nurses and staff at Arbour Creek. George was a retiree of Dofasco. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 6-9 pm with Prayers at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2 pm. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, 681 Mud Street East, Stoney Creek. Donations to Holy Cross Croatian Church or Crkva Sv. Juraj, Lesce na Dobri, Croatia would be appreciated.
