Meta Johanna Ziesmann

Passed away peacefully on February 25, 2019 at the age of 87 with her loving husband by her side. Beloved wife to Willi Ziesmann of 62 years. Predeceased by her parents Karl and Johanna Tomat, and siblings Adolf Tomat (Emma), Frieda Wanagat (Oscar) and Ruth Kurz (Waldemar). Our beloved Tante Meta will be sadly missed by many Godchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews in Canada, Germany and U.S.A. Special thanks to the staff at Macassa Lodge for their kind care and compassion. Visitation will be held at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street E. (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, March 3rd from 1-5 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 104 Hughson St. North on Monday, March 4th at 11 am. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Alzheimer's Society in Meta's memory.
