William "Bill" George Ferguson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather on July 6, 2019 in his 69th year. Beloved husband to Nancy for 48 years and her bestfriend for 53 years.Cherished father to Will Ferguson (Tania) and Ryan Ferguson (Becky). Adored grandpa to Jacob, Maggie (James), Rhiannon and great-grandpa to Greyson. Predeceased by his parents Homer and Shirley Ferguson. He will be deeply missed by his granfurbabies Rogue and Bella. Bill graduated from Mohawk College in 1971 and retired from the City of Hamilton's Traffic Department in 1999 after 29 years of service. During his time working for the city of Hamilton he was the personal chauffeur for Mayor Jack MacDonald and was the President of Union Local 167. Special thanks to the staff at LHIN and the PSW's from Bayshore and St. Elizabeth for their kind care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc. or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Bill's memory. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to invite friends and family to a Memorial Gathering which will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street E. (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, July 14th from 2pm-5pm.
