Jamie Black Musick

Jamie Black Musick, 65, passed away September 23, 2019 in Houston, Texas. Jamie was born May 22, 1954 in Galveston, Texas to Joyce Kay and Harry G. Black. Jamie grew up in Galveston, graduated from Saint Mary’s Hall in 1972 and from the University of Texas in Austin in 1975. Upon graduation, Jamie joined Fitts, Roberts and Co. and became a partner in 1985. Jamie, a CPA, spent her entire career there, retiring in 2017. Jamie was preceded in death by her father and brother, Harry G. and Harry A. Black; and her husband, Scott Musick. She is survived by her mother Joyce Black Lain; sister Catherine Black; and brother-in-law, Matt Musick. Honorary pallbearers are Susan Battlestein, Julie Orser Odermatt, Thomas Orser, Ron Lemer, Florence Clark and Marlys Barry. A memorial service will be held at the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors on Friday, September 27 at 10am. A private burial will take place at a later date at Galveston Memorial Park.
