Obituary of Louis Victor Reeves Jr.
On December 26, 2018, Louis Reeves, Loving Husband & Father of One Daughter, was called Home by the Lord at Age 91. Louis Victor Reeves Jr. was Born February 28, 1927 at his home at 7002 Ave I Houston, Texas to his parents: Father: Louis Victor Reeves Sr. of Lynchburg, Texas Mother: Lilly May Hinch of El Campo, Texas. He is Preceded In death by his Father, Mother, & two Sisters. Vivian Reeves Pinson of Livingston, Texas Frances Fay Shuttlesworth of Pasadena, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife Esperanza H. Reeves of Houston, Texas Daughter: Marie Reeves Harrington of Spring, Texas Step-Daughter: Kristina Johnson of Katy, Texas Step-Son: David O'Connell of Corpus Christi, Texas. 2 Grandsons, 2 Granddaughters, 1 Great-Grandson, 2 Nephews, 2 Nieces, 2 Great Nieces, and 1 Great Nephew He attended Franklin Elementary, Edison Middle School & Milby High School where he Graduated in 1944. It was here that he met his first wife, Rose Marie Grimes, they were married in 1950, raised one daughter, Marie, born in1961 and later divorced in 1979. He worked in the Auto parts trade and joined the Harris County Sheriff's Reserves from 1950 until 1964, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant. When upon graduating from the Sheriff's Academy in 1964 he became a full time Harris County Sheriff's Deputy. He was transferred to The Washburn Tunnel which is part of their jurisdiction where he achieved the rank of Captain. He retired as a Harris County Deputy in 1989. During this time, he met and married his second wife, Esperanza, in 1980. He loved nature, camping, traveling, and enjoying God's Natural Creations. He sought fairness in all! Louis made public profession on November 1, 1937, was Baptized on November 14,1937 @ Park Memorial Baptist Church..... he Drifted apart from the church about 1945/46.... and Returned to Park Memorial Baptist in 1980. He became a Trustee of the church and was still currently active until his recent death.
