Edmund Alexander Doyle

Edmund Alexander Doyle, Age 65, of Inverness, walked into the arms of God on Friday, March 22, 2019 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Edmund was born on Friday, January 1st, 1954 and was a son of the late Charles and Catherine (MacLellan) Doyle. He was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Inverness, and was known as a kind and gentle soul. Edmund is survived by his partner, Brenda Gillis; and his son, Corey Doyle; brothers, PA (Mary), Elmer, Stephen (Evelyn), Bernard (Linda) Jerry and Eldon; sisters, Teresa ,Iris, Ann (Jack), Blanche (Donnie), Shirley and Marie (Paul); several nieces and nephews. Edmund enjoyed time with his son and his brother Eldon, who spent many hours together walking, fishing and hunting. Edmund worked for the Municipality for the County of Inverness for over 30 years and was known to be a dedicated worker. Edmund was predeceased by his parents, as well as sisters, Magdalene, Yvonne and a sister Charlene in infancy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, in Stella Maris Church, Inverness from 10-10:45 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m., Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
