Obituary of Kaye Parr MacDougall
It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Catherine "Kaye" Sabina MacDougall, 86 of Inverness, who passed away in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 19, 2019. Born November 28, 1932 to Peter and Annie Muise. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James "Parr" MacDougall; son, Angus, Orillia, Ont.; daughter, Rose Annette (Peter Hart), Inverness; grandchildren, Gaelan, Liam and Breton Parr; many nieces and nephews. Kaye was a lifelong resident of Inverness, first in the Red Rows and later at beautiful Broad Cove Banks. Many will remember Kaye from her business', The Ceilidh Restaurant and Central Clothing as well as the family restaurant, The Casual Gourmet. She was an active member of the Ceilidh Trail CB Club, holding several positions over the years. She loved her family and friends, her dog Rocky, her God, the fiddle, and a good game of cards and bingo. Kaye was a class act and left a lasting mark in her community, she will be remembered by many. Kaye was predeceased by brothers, Johnny, Peter, Patty and Billy; sisters, Rose Marie and Anne. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26th, in Stella Maris Church, Inverness, from 9 - 10:45 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Reception to follow downstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion, Inverness.
