Veronica "Vonnie" Julieann MacIsaac

It is with great sadness we, the family announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Veronica "Vonnie" MacIsaac on November 22, 2018 at the age of 78 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 13, 1940 in Inverness to the late Paddy and Tilly Roach. A devoted mother to Alexander (Terry), Donna, Kathleen (Jurgen), Louis, and Julieann (Grant); loving grandma to Ronan, Graham, Kyle, Connor and Sophie. She is also survived by her husband of 60 years, Malcolm "Malkie" MacIsaac, brothers, Si, Larry and Jackie, sisters; Mary Catherine and Peggy; many special nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, Bill, Pete, Gerard and brother in infancy, sisters;, Judy and Theresa. Mom will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. As per Mom's wishes, cremation has occurred. Visitation will be held on Friday July 5 in Inverness Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Stella Maris Church, Inverness, with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mom's memory to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society, Oncology Dept. or to the ladies auxiliary.
