Obituary of Albert "Dusty" Nathan Dudley Jr.
Albert "Dusty" Nathan Dudley, Jr., 89, passed away at Olathe Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas on July 19, 2019. Dusty was born in Kansas City, Kansas at Bethany Hospital on January 17, 1930 and was the oldest son of Albert Nathan Dudley, Sr. and Mary Catherine Dudley (Streck). He attended Muncie Grade School and Turner High School. He was the oldest of 5 children. He enlisted in the Army in January 1947, was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. While in the Army he met and shortly after discharge married, his wife of 71 years, Norma Dean "Deannie" Dudley (Earles). In 1948 he started working for Phillips Petroleum in Kansas City, Kansas and retired from Phillips Petroleum Borger, Texas in 1985. Dusty took great pride in his yard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and delighted in their only child, a daughter, Constance "Connie Ruane (Dudley). They also enjoyed many years of square dancing and camping and 30+ years of winters in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. They made many lifetimes friendships in both Kansas and Texas. Dusty was a 60 year member of Roger E. Sherman Masonic Lodge #369. He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite and belonged to Abdallah Shrine. He was proud to be PABG Bethel #51 and PAGG of Kansas Job's Daughters International. Dusty is survived by his wife Deannie Dudley of the home and daughter Connie, Kansas City, Kansas. His sister Delores "Dodo" Frazee (Dudley), Bonner Springs, Kansas. His brother Lawrence "Larry" Dudley, Cassville, Missouri, several cousins and many nieces/nephews, grand nieces/nephews, great-grand nieces/nephews. Also a great many wonderful and supportive neighbors, too numerous to mention. Dusty was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, younger brother John E. Dudley & younger sister Joyce Herndon (Dudley). Services will be held at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home 701 N 94th Street Kansas City, Kansas 66012 Visitation: Tuesday July 23, 2019 6pm--8pm (Masonic Services) Funeral: Wednesday July 24, 2019 2pm Internment: Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital or Olathe Hospice House.
