Delores "Dorie" Marie (Bowman) Brensinger

Delores “Dorie” Marie Brensinger, 82, of Basehor, Kansas, passed away June 14, 2019 at home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS, with visitation from 10:00-11:00am preceding the service. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the ASPCA.
Dorie was born December 2, 1936 in Council Grove, KS to Lloyd and Neva Bowman. She graduated from high school in Council Grove. Dorie was joined in marriage to Bobbe Brensinger on August 5, 1955. She worked as a sales clerk for JC Penney’s and CVS. Dorie enjoyed flowers and gardening, playing with her dogs, shopping and spending time with her family. She was a member of Basehor Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobbe Brensinger; her son, Robert Brensinger; and her sister, Gayla Oelkers.
Dorie is survived by her children, Dianna Selanders (Robert), and Janet Wiber; her grandchildren, Michael Wiber (Kelsey), Matthew Wiber, Kyle Selanders, and Brett Selanders; her great-grandchildren, Brock, Aidan, and Nolan; as well as other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank the Staff of Ascend Hospice for their kind and devoted care of Dorie.
