Caroline Barr On Sunday, July 7, 2019, Caroline Barr, wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 years at Pinecrest Home for the Aged. Caroline leaves behind her husband of 55 years Gerald Barr, children Rod Barr(Patty), Credie Cooper(Wayne), Candace Wetendorf(Jeff), and Pam Martin(John). Grandchildren Jeff Barr, Brittany Barr, Veronica Barr, Brandon Barr, Ryan(Brittany) Barr, Christine Cooper, Brant Cooper, Joshua Wetendorf, Tristan Wetendorf, Braydan Wetendorf, Michaela Martin, and Matt Martin. Caroline is also survived by her sister Irene Schreyer, nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. Caroline was predeceased by her parents Mary and Michael Harasym, son David A Barr, brother in law Ed Schreyer, brother in law Gary Barr and brother in law David L Barr. Caroline was born in Selkirk Manitoba and at age 3 moved to Vermilion Bay Ontario. Caroline lived in Vermilion Bay until 1954 when she moved to California. Caroline returned in 1961 for a visit and she met Gerald Barr. Caroline never returned to California and the two were soon married. Together for 32 years they ran Barr’s Esso and Maple Leaf Restaurant. The last four years were spent living in Kenora. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
