Myria Kelly
A resident of Grassy Narrows First Nation passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She was predeceased by her son Barney Kelly, stepdad John Swain, her mother Sarah Swain, her father Charlie Kelly, her grandparents Joe Kelly Sr. and Eva Kelly, her aunts and uncles Geo, Alex, Roy, Joe Jr., John, Lucy, Annie and her sister Sandra Kelly and brother John Turtle.
She leaves to mourn her memory daughters Sarah Melinda Harber (Jim) and their children Kimberly, Ashley, Heather, Christopher and stepson Jesse, Alice Kelly (Langford King) and their children Langford and Percival Kelly. As well as great grandchildren Jessie Lynn, Hailey, Lucas and step grandchild Kayson. She also leaves behind brothers Barney (Janet) Turtle, Rudy (Teresa) Turtle, Robert (Terri) Swain, Aunty Mary Kelly, uncle Jim Kelly, nephews Robert Turtle, Sheldon Turtle, Allan Turtle, Anton Turtle, Brenton Matthews, Cedric Pelly, Robert Swain Jr., Allan Swain and Trevor Swain, nieces Sarah Turtle, Shannon Turtle, Michelle Turtle, Jianne Turtle, Ramona Swain and Allanah Swain, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
In her early years she worked for the Grassy Lodge until ownership changes in the late 70’s and she also worked at the Minaki Lodge throughout the years. Myria loved to volunteer at the Winnipeg Soup kitchens, she also enjoyed playing cards with friends.
Wake Service will begin on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 5:00pm at Agnes Fisher’s Building. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 3:00 pm with burial to follow at Grassy Narrows.
