Obituary of Samuel William Bush
It is with disbelief and profound sadness that we announce that Samuel William Bush passed away suddenly at the age of 21 on June 2, 2019. Sam continues to be loved furiously and will be missed deeply forever by his parents, Dan and Tammy Bush, younger brothers, Jacob and Jack Bush, grandparents, Joe and Rose Chevalier and Laurie and Ann Bush, Aunts and Uncles, Dennis and Beth Chevalier, Carolyn and David Hamlyn, Kylie and Trevor Oussoren, cousins, Everett and Reed Chevalier, Kaylyn and Quinn Hamlyn, and Jonah and Nolan Oussoren. He was also loved dearly by his great Mimmy, Colleen Chevalier and by a many great aunts and uncles. Sam was welcomed into our family on March 30, 1998 in Windsor, Ontario and was surrounded by a huge loving family as the first grandchild and great grandchild on his mother’s side and the first boy grandchild on his father’s side. He lived there and enjoyed time with his extended family, great grandparents, great aunts and uncles until 2004 when his family moved to Kenora. He attended St. Louis school, Our Lady of the Valley, Pope John Paul II and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Sam also attended a year at Narrandera High School in Australia. Along the way he made many friends and shared great bonds. He loved to go camping, hunting and fishing with his Pippy and Uncle Dennis and looked forward to the big hunting trip with all the guys each fall. Sam was passionate about skateboarding and would spend long days in the summertime doing kick flips, ollies and riding the rails with his friends. He would be out there shoveling out of the bowl in the spring to be able to get in there as soon as he could and would ride right until winter set in and the park was no longer rideable. His sk8 team were his second family and he will be greatly missed by each of them. Sam has 2 younger brothers, Jake and Jack, who he’d wrestle with, play basketball with and teach some sk8 moves to. He loved our family dinners and could laugh so hard and engage in banter with the best of our family. Visitation for Sam will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday June 7, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Visitation will continue from 10:00-11:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School gymnasium.
