Jacquelyn Jean Herzberg

Jacquelyn J. Bedford Herzberg, 85, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 1, 2019 after a long battle with dementia/Alzheimer's. Jackie was born to the late Donald and Ramona Rice Bedford, of Kalamazoo, on July 19, 1934, and was married to her late husband, Robert C. Herzberg for 50 years. She and husband, Bob, shared a love of nature and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the life and the close friendships that they found together while living on Arbutus Lake for over 46 years. An avid reader and writer, Jackie was also an accomplished painter in oils and acrylics who studied the fine arts and sought excellence in her own work. Jackie's favorite pastime was exploring the craft shops and art fairs in the Grand Traverse area for the creative and unique treasures that she collected and cherished. Jackie is survived by stepdaughter, Susan Herzberg Gray; son, Michael Huskins; and Jackie's many grandchildren. No memorial or funeral service is planned at this time. In honor of Jackie, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association in Traverse City would be appreciated.
