Judith "Judy" Kay Gilliam

Judy K. Gilliam, 81, of Kokomo passed away on August 19, 2019. She was born on July 24, 1938 in Logansport, Indiana to Claude and Gladys Conrad. She was married to Franklin "Junior" Gilliam, Jr. Judy was a homemaker and devoted babysitter for many years and spent a lot of time helping families with their children. In her younger days, she loved to dance. She did tap and ballet. She loved animals, watching old television shows, and often enjoyed playing bingo. Judy also loved her church, Church of God of Prophecy, but most of all, Judy loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They brought so much joy into her life. She was a kind, loving, and generous soul. Judy is survived by her children, Constance Gunnell, Franklin (Joey) Gilliam, and Diahann Belt; her grandchildren, Jacob Gunnell, Cody Gunnell, Andrew Belt, Kendra Gilliam, and Miesha Abresch; and her great grandchildren, Ryan Gilliam, Eloise Abresch, and Aurora Gilliam. In addition to her parents and her husband, Junior, Judy was preceded in death by her sisters, Joann Walker and Donna Dunlap. Family friends are welcome to attend the viewing Monday, August 26, from 10am to 12pm at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo IN 46902. The funeral service and entombment will follow directly at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Kokomo Humane Society.
