R.L. White

RL White, age 85, of Leoma, TN passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his home. He was born August 15, 1933. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN. He served as a Specialist in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 before relocating to Lansing, IL. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Chicago, IL, at the age of 45. After his retirement he returned to his home of Leoma, TN. He had a passion for gardening and yard work. He is preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Nettie White and step mother: Mary Calloway-White; his loving wife: Nell Huntley-White; 3 brothers: Eugene White, Joe White, and JC White; and 3 sisters: Opal Adams, Peggy Cox, and Louise Alexander. He is survived by his daughter: Annette Littrell (Jackie) of Leoma, TN; 1 sister: Zeffie Dorsey of Lawrenceburg, TN; 3 grandchildren: Jeremy Miller of Waynesboro, TN, Meleah Littrell (Peyton) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Nakia Littrell (Axl) of Leoma, TN; 3 great grandchildren: Emilee Mcdow, Elijah Gray, and Izaiah Gray; 1 great great grandson: Barrett Mcdow; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Cora Lee Hardiman of Leoma, TN. Visitation will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo Chapel Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo Chapel Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Pastors Jessie Littrell and Dustin Wilburn will be officiating. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery.
