Murlene McDaniel Owensby, 90, formerly of Morganton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, at home. She was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Morganton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lennie and Robert McDaniel; brothers, Bob, Jack; sister, Miriam; and special sister-in-law, Carolyn. She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Andrea; sons, Johnny, and Victor (Donna); grandsons, Kevin, Chris, and Shawn; special granddaughter, Stephanie; sisters, Rheba and Gayree; special niece, Felicia (Larry); and other special nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Morganton.
