Lucille Brooks Marshall

Lucille Maxine Brooks Marshall, 90, of Rustburg, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Cardinal Senior Living in Bedford. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Oliver Marshall. Born on June 12, 1928 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Luther T. Brooks and the late Bertha Eades Brooks. Lucille enjoyed watching her grandchildren and was a childcare provider. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray Bourne; two brothers; and two sisters. Lucille is survived by her children, Richard “Rick” Wayne Bourne and wife Bobbie of Concord, Michael Glenn Brooks of AL, Lloyd Daniel “Danny” Marshall and wife Beth of Lynchburg, Janice Carol Brininger and husband Bob of Concord, and Patsy Ann Carson and husband Moe of Evington; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor John Sines officiating.
