Mr. Jimmy Terry
January 1, 1939 – June 5, 2019

Jimmy was born on January 1, 1939 in Grand Saline, Texas and entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2019 at the age of 80. Jimmy enlisted and served in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Jeanne Morel, on September 4, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. Together they began building a life together. Jimmy worked for Bell Helicopter, retiring after 30 years. He took providing for his family seriously and had an incredible work ethic. He enjoyed fishing and reading western novels and Tom Clancy books. Jimmy also enjoyed a good sci-fi movie. He kept his yard looking nice and loved receiving compliments on how good it looked. Jimmy loved his wife, children and grandchildren and treasured his time with them. He was a member of Mabank Church of Christ and served as an elder for 37 years. Jimmy was an amazing man, with a kind giving heart and always willing to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother Laverne Thompson and sister Vetta Foster.
He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne Terry of Mabank, son Carl Terry and wife Tracy of Fairbank, AK, daughter Jeanine Thomas and husband Leslie of Combine, grandson Colburn Thomas and Landon Thomas, sister Beverlyn Miller and husband Billie of Talty, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
